Des Moines – Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Scott Brennan released the following statement on the nominations of Adam Gregg for Attorney General and Sam Clovis for State Treasurer today at the Republican State Convention:

“Treasurer Mike Fitzgerald and Attorney General Tom Miller have proven to be outstanding public servants who have put the needs of Iowans above partisan politics.  However, today Republicans have nominated – after failing to find anyone to run in the first place – Sam Clovis and Adam Gregg who are more interested in pushing a hyper-partisan agenda than moving our state forward.  Democrats are confident that come November Iowans will once again choose the only people in the races for Attorney General and Treasurer that have the experience to lead for the next four years.”
