2014 Caucus Website Includes Information on Where, When and How to Caucus

Des Moines – The Iowa Democratic Party today launched their 2014 caucus website – thecaucuses.org – to provide supporters and participants information on where and how to caucus on Tuesday, January 21 at 7:00pm.  IDP Chair Scott Brennan will also be discussing the website and encouraging Democrats to participate in the caucuses during a series of stops on Thursday.

During this year’s caucus, Democratic activists across the state will gather at the precinct level to elect delegates, discuss party platform resolutions, and start building a grassroots organization for the 2014 midterm cycle.  Caucuses will be happening in over 500 locations statewide, with each of Iowa’s 1,689 precincts participating.

“Caucusing is the best way to be an active participant in the Iowa Democratic Party’s platform and agenda, and will be critical to victories up and down the ticket in 2014,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Scott Brennan.  “Involving Democrats now will help build a strong grassroots organization for the midterms, and will ensure we have volunteers and supporters in every part of the state.”

Iowa Democratic Party Chair Scott Brennan will host a series of press conferences on THURSDAY, January 9, encouraging Democratic Party activists to caucus on January 21.
