Iowa Democratic Party Announces Caucus Time

Joint Effort with Iowa Republicans set time for January 21st at 7:00pm

Des Moines – In conjunction with the Republican Party of Iowa, the Iowa Democratic Party announced today that both parties have finalized the time for the 2014 statewide caucus to be held on Tuesday, January 21.  While the date had previously been set, both parties agreed last week to finalize the time of the caucus to 7:00pm, ensuring that both parties were conducting their caucuses at the same time and on the same date.

“I am pleased to announce we have locked in a time for the 2014 state caucus — Tuesday, January 21 at 7:00pm,” said IDP Chairman Scott Brennan. “By working with the Republican Party of Iowa on this procedural issue, we ensure both parties are holding their caucuses on the same date and at the same time.  I look forward to working with Chairman Spiker on not only ensuring that the 2014 caucuses are fair and accessible, and that Iowa remains first in the nation.
