DPS Leadership Change is another sign of Branstad’s Failure to Lead

DES MOINES – Iowans woke up today to the news of more problems from the Branstad Administration. The resignation of embattled Public Safety Commissioner Brian London is the latest in a long string of problems that have plagued the Governor this year. From the problems at the Iowa Veterans Home, to the inhumane treatment of children at the Toledo Juvenile Home, to the continuing controversy over the Governor’s speeding, one thing is clear – Terry Branstad’s failures create more problems for Iowa. That’s not leadership, its mismanagement and it’s time for him to go.

“How many more problems must Iowans endure from the Branstad Administration,” said Iowa Democratic Party Executive Director Troy Price. “The Governor is causing more problems and creating more failures than he is worth. The continued mismanagement by the Governor tells us that there is something rotten in his administration, and it is Terry Branstad himself. The truth is, Terry Branstad is not doing his job, and it’s time for him to go.”
