North Area Iowa Democrats to Host 10th Annual Wing Ding

Des Moines, IA – North Iowa Area Democrats will host the 10th annual Wing Ding fundraiser on Friday, August 16 at 5:00pm at the Historic Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar will deliver the keynote address. U.S. Senate candidate Representative Bruce Braley and Iowa Democratic Party Chair Scott Brennan, as well as candidates for governor and the U.S. House, will also be in attendance.

In 2006, Senator Klobuchar became the first woman elected to represent Minnesota in the United States Senate. Senator Klobuchar has been a strong advocate for middle class families, job creation and bringing fiscal responsibility to Washington.

The North Iowa Area Wing Ding is a consortium of seven Iowa counties that produce this event that has become one of the leading annual Democratic Party events in the state. Participating counties include Cerro Gordo, Hancock, Winnebago, Kossuth, Butler, Franklin and Floyd.
