Nominate a Democratic Woman for DAWN's List Awards

The Democratic Activist Women’s Networks – DAWN’s List – is seeking nominations for their annual awards recognizing progressive, pro-choice Democratic women from across the state who have made a difference in Iowa politics.

You have until January 28th to nominate someone for one of the six awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, Rising Star Award, Activist Award, Elected State Official Award, Elected Local Official Award and Special Recognition Award. Nominations can be made online here or by printing a nomination form and sending it to DAWN’s List.

Across Iowa there are countless dedicated women who fight for our progressive values and this is your chance to honor someone who has made an impact.

Last year’s honorees were:

  • Rising Star Award: Andrea Jansa
  • Special Recognition Award: Rachael Grimes
  • Activist Award: Clara Oleson
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Peggy Huppert
  • Elected Official Award: State Senator Amanda Ragan

Awards will be presented at the DAWN’s List annual Women’s Appreciation Day Reception on March 7th. Learn more about the awards and submit your nomination online today.
