IowaDemocrats.org Comment policy

We’re proud to announce that we’re opening up some of our posts for comments. Blogging and social media are two way streets and the IDP is embracing that. We want your reactions to the stories we link to in the mornings, the videos we produce and we want your ideas on how we can make our party and our state a better place to live.

Now we all know that politics and policy can get people a little hot under the collar. Discussion and debate is fine but we reserve the right to remove a comment if it crosses the line. Keep the conversations on-topic, civil, clean and spam-free. Pretend your mother is looking over your shoulder before you hit that “post comment” button. If you think she’d be reaching for the soap after she read it, give it another edit.
(I didn’t mean to rhyme so much, I promise.)

We use Disqus (pronounced “discuss”) to host/moderate our comments. You’ll need to register through them before you can post here, but don’t worry, it’s free and easy. The best part is, Disqus can link to your Twitter account and now you’ll be registered at any site that uses Disqus.

We hope to hear from you. This is your party and we need you to be a part of it.

About The Party

The Iowa Democratic Party is dedicated to promoting Democratic principles across the state of Iowa and electing qualified and dedicated candidates at all levels of government.

We’re made up of a State Central Committee, 99 county chairs and thousands of involved Iowans who care deeply about their state and want to see it be a model for the other 49. Learn more…
